iam on a diet but iam always having sweet tooth and craving for choclate and iceceam can can help a craving? or what food can replace them?
What can help a sweet tooth?
I try to keep a box of chocolate cereal in the house, like cocoa pebbles or cocoa puffs. with skim milk it is a healthier snack alternative to real chocolate %26amp; low cal. But don't eat this kind of cereal as a meal, say for breakfast, because it doesn't fill you up for very long. It just makes a good snack. Cereal with whole grains %26amp; fiber is best for breakfast because it takes your body longer to break it down so you feel full longer. Always eat a healthy breakfast when trying to lose weight, it really does help.
Reply:I have the same problem, usually when I'm craving for ice cream and chocolate, I eat a sweet fruit instead. Or if that doesn't work, I tell myself that for every sweet I eat, I'll drink a bottle of water, sometime I do it, but sometimes a bottle of water seems like a lot to pay for a little cookie. hope it helps
Reply:Cravings generally mean your system is lacking a specific nutrient and is begging in the only way it knows how for it. Try Yogurt for the Ice cream and Carob chocolate with no added table sugar such as fructose as a sweetener. Use fruits and veggies as viable snacks.
Reply:I am a chocoholic and my favorite food is dessert!!
What helped me was to cut out all sugar- even fruits. The first two weeks were pure hell but once I detoxed off sugar I no longer craved it.
I am just 20 pounds from my final goal weight after having lost 60. Now I will eat dessert on special occassions- birthday, Christmas, etc. It helps to know that I am not swearing it off forever, just limiting it to a couple times of year.
Reply:If you can avoid eating chocolate, icecreams, cakes and cookies for 3-4 weeks, the "sweet tooth" will disappear. Eat fresh fruits instead. Sugar is like a drug, the more you eat, the more your body demands.
