Sweet Tooth??

I have a MAJOR sweet tooth! What can I do? I can't help my self! And it's not JUST candy. I eat starches like bread, potatoes, and all sorts of stuff!

Sweet Tooth??
I have the very same problem and it turned out that I am diabetic. I had to have something sweet after each meal and mid-afternoon I had to have ice cream! This could also be a symptom of your thyroid. I suggest you have tests done. I think a T1 for thyroid and A1C for diabetes might give you more information. I have controlled my sweet tooth with the medicine for diabetes. Oh yeah, I've lost 50 pounds since I stopped the sugar which has also helped control the diabetes. Good luck.
Reply:There are food supplements you may want to try for that. I think the name for one is Q10 or something like that. Go to your local health store/pharmacist and they will be able to tell you.
Reply:what about substituting some healthier sweet things. if you like bananas, mash them up, freeze them a little, mash them up again and then freeze again. almost like banana icecream. Frozen bananas make great smoothies when blended with skim milk and a little honey. Frozen berries are great too.
Reply:If you exercise a lot this is understandable

Substitution may be the way to go. Instead of potatoe, try sweet potatoe. Instead of sugar, artifical sweetner. Eat more fruit. Instead of lollies try licorice. always choose a food lower in carbs and sugar than the one you really want. It works for me, I have the same problem.
Reply:SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOUR A DIABETIC. YOU MAY WANT TO ASK YOUR DOCOTOR TO HAVE IT CHECKED ITS SIMPLE BLOOD TEST. I WAS THE SAME WAY AND MY WEIGHT BALLONED. I AM NOW A FULL BLOWN DIABETIC INSILIN DEPENDENT AND NOT LIKING IT. I STILL CRAVE SWEETS. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD COME UP WITH A DRUG FOR A DIABETIC THAT WOULD MAKE THE SWEET CRAVINGS GO AWAY THEN WE WOULDNT BE DIABETICS.
Reply:How about apples! They are sweet and if you cut them up into small bits and eat them the taste lasts longer. Also try freezing small cups of diet/ no fat yoghurt. Taste great and few callories
