i love pastry based snacks like cakes, pies etcetera and i've been told it will post a health problem in future.i'm a size 8,aged 32 and of African descent.
Is "sweet tooth" an incurable problem?
It's called willpower.
Reply:No, you can ween yourself off sweet things, as well as taking sugar in coffee and tea, it doesn't take long - just a few weeks.
Reply:Diabetes will be a worry later in life. If you like sweet things try dried fruit instead.
Reply:Try eating a lot of sweets over the course of a couple of days. That way, you will hate the idea of anything sweet for a while. Have pie for breakfast and after dinner too.
Reply:No not at all. Go ahead and go to your dentist.
Reply:try taking more vitamin C --
a craving for sweets is usually a deficiency of C -- if it goes away that is what it is. (and your mom probably says to eat more fresh fruit)
If it doesn't, then you have a heath issue related to energy production in the body. Could be almost anything, digestive disorder, infection, parasites, name it. You need a good holistic AND medical doctor at that point.
Reply:Stop consuming artificial sweetners. Splenda, SweetNLow, Equal, all of those. They have sucralose and aspartamine in them, which cause sugar cravings. If you don't want to use sugar, but want to add sweetnesss to something, try Stevia. It's a 100% natural sweetner with zero calories. You can find it at ANY grocery store! Try it and see if you sugar cravings get less severe.
