This may happen with weight loss/starvation. And unless she's recently been tested for diabetes it might be an idea to have her checked as it can occue at any stage of life.

Reply:Acetone breath is a sign of ketosis(fat burning). It can happen if your on the Atkins diet or simply because you haven't eaten or drank enough.But it can be a sign of diabetes too. Has she been tested? You can get a test done at Lloyd's pharmacy for free.
